I’m so disappointed with Apple.
I was ready for a cheap iBook that I could afford and finally get my feet wet with a Mac. Instead, we end up with MacBook Pro.
What the hell kind of name is that??? “MacBook”??? That’s terrible.
They should have called it the ProBook. Then you have the iLine and the ProLine. iBook -> ProBook, iMac -> ProMac. Trying to squeeze “Mac” back into their laptop branding is just painful. What else are they going to do with PowerMac? “MacMac”??? Probably “Mac Pro”…
So it comes with iSight build in. Ok, that’s kinda cool. But I don’t like how it can’t be moved. Being able to flip it around and film where you are would also be neat. FrontRow is also included, also cool. But why, oh why, would they continue with useing a IR remote??? They have BlueTooth built into the damn things already and I’m willing to bet it never even gets used. Why not have have it actually do something and keep you from needing line of sight or needing to add even more parts to your iBook? For the love of God, they’re selling a 6 button IR remote for $30 American! They ought to be ashamed.
iLife suite is rather interesting… I’d like to be more impressed with it but I don’t own a Mac so I can’t say for sure. The new iWeb is very intriguing, but it’s the same damn thing over and over…. need “.Mac” for best results. I wouldn’t have been surpirsed if you needed “.Mac” for any results. When did “Think Different” stop meaning “Think Different”?? It’s now think like me. It’s like all those people you seeing wearing black trenchcoats to show how much of a individual they are.
Just think about that for a moment.

Microsoft gets flack for making FrontPage work with their server extentions and no one talks about this? Weird.
