I don’t know how well it would have translated into a t-shirt, but the Night Ride entry on a recent derby was stunning.
This is the sort of thing I want to see large, like taking up an entire wall.

I got Subway for lunch today, a salad. Not that unusual. Well… maybe the salad part. Totally not the point, tho.
I wiped my mouth with one of those paper daggers napkins and somehow with the way I was holding it a corner went up under my glasses and got me right in the eye.
Ouch.
Now, the eye is wet by nature if you didn’t know. The small tip of the napkin acted in it’s absorbent nature and stuck on to my eye when I pulled the napkin away.
Double Ouch.
Here’s where things get weird. This small section of paper is on my eyeball, and it’s pretty uncomfortable. I’m trying to get it out but it’s worked it’s way under my eyelid. Still hurting. I’m rolling my eye around trying to get out but to my knowledge it never actually comes out. So either it worked it’s way out and fell out of my eye without me knowing or…
or…
or… it went the other way and is now behind my eye.
Either way I can’t feel anything now. The body has a way of dealing with stuff like this, right?
Right?
When you’re painting a room there comes a point, directly after you finally finish the primer, when you say to yourself:
White is a colour, right? I could just stop now and call it done. Look how bright the place looks!
And the smart people probably do stop there.
I wish I was one of them.
I just finished painting the bathroom Cheers yellow. The CIL Smart3 primer nearly drove me crazy with the different coats. But once that was done, the “WASH & WEAR Kitchen & Bath” paint went on in pretty much one application. Like wow.
I was having pain walking today. This afternoon while I was crossing the food court to see one of my off site clients I finally had to stop and see just what could be the problem.
On the bottom of my left heel there was a single hair sticking out. Of the bottom of my foot. A hair.
Now in the past I’ve had an issue with a synthetic fiber from my socks or something wedging itself into the skin of my foot like a splinter. And it hurt in much the same way.
But this is where things get strange. It was most definitely a hair. It was quite a ways into my heel. I felt a little tug and a sharp pain when I yanked it out (it felt surprisingly deep into the skin…). But it was also nearly 3/4th’s of an inch out from my skin.
That just doesn’t happen over night.
So I’m left with two questions. 1) If it was an actual hair, why did it only start hurting today??? and 2) If it wasn’t a real hair, how did it get embedded so far so quickly???
All I know for sure, is that I’m pain free now that it’s gone.
I just found out last night that you can get a passport for you dog.
In fact, Choco has more stamps in his then I do.
